This tool must be used on JC V1S Pro, and your old display must be there, connect the flex cable on old display with JC V1S Pro, just read from old display, and write to new display.
Many iPad Screens have pencil problem after screen replacement, it was caused by Apple data lock. Some screen won't have problem however.
